Arkivet Fra Nord (Danish for "The Archive From North") is an independent, concept-driven project founded in Denmark in 2021 by Jasper Svabo at the age of 17. Combining fashion with historical awareness, AFN recontextualizes significant events into high-quality clothing, offering a unique way to wear history and connect the past with the present.

As the saying goes, "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." We fear some historical events and people are slipping from memory, and our mission is to change that. Our unique solution? Wear the past! Each Arkivet Fra Nord piece lets you actively connect history with the present. By wearing it, you become a mediator of carefully curated events, helping combat the consequences of forgetfulness.

This concept is really important to us. Both because history is very important, but also because we see a lack of options for those who value well-constructed ideas. Conceptual sustainability is key to buying less.

But, how is AFN different? Our concept is the driving factor in everything we do. From a visual identity inspired by nostalgic archival processes of preserving historical artifacts, to designs based on well-sourced historical events, our pieces are important historical relics that serve to reactualize. To contribute, all you have to do is wear the shirt.
